The Emergency and Critical Care in Obstetrics Course covers the management and practical skills of major obstetric emergencies. The Course consists solely of basic workshops on the use of equipment and usage of several measures to address a range of conditions and situations that require urgent and critical care, such as massive hemorrhage, respiratory complications and surgical emergencies.
Enhanced Maternity Care (EMC) is a new standard of care in addition to normal maternity care for women with medical or surgical problems during labour. We focus on early recognition and response to emergencies and optimization of care.
