ALSO Manual contains basic knowledge on emergency management in Obstetrics. It provides participants with the necessary knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pregnancy pathology and cardiopulmonary resuscitation principles. It provides a wealth of knowledge to deal with serious obstetric emergencies and provides useful practical advices. The Greek version of the ALSO Handbook contains translation of the American book chapters as well as the lectures/presentations’ slides. This is the 4th updated Greek edition with the most recent chapters having been written in 2007 and is offered in a hardcopy volume and an e-book. The slides contain a translation of the corresponding Americans but with a critical adaptation to the Greek Conditions of Medical Practice. Finally, in the presentation slides there are some sections included between brackets. These correspond to midwifery practices that are not mainly practiced in our country but are listed as starting points for discussion and reflection. ALSO online manual is available in Greek and English languages in two different ways of reading: one is in e-book format so that the reader can enlarge and read the text from their computer screen and the other is in pdf format so that the text can be easily printed.
